I found this article in Slate by Matthew DeBord, about "Car 2.0," remarkably unimaginative and unfocused. We need some good, original thinking about what personal transportation should evolve into, and the need is indeed urgent, but this article doesn't reflect such thinking at all. Back to the drawing board.
Worth taking a look at Better Place, which he mentions. Their idea of a swappable battery solves the range problem of electric vehicles quite neatly, it would seem.
