I find it interesting that some centrist Democrats including people I know were all a twitter over the candidacy of El Sayed even though he's a terrific natural born politician and takes positions which are entirely consistent with a broad swathe of the Democratic Party. When he has done everything possible to help ensure the critical outcome we need: control of the Senate, it is Haley Stevens who for whatever either corrupt or indefensibly egotistical reasons, who has crossed over to the dark side and made it more difficult for the outcome clearly in the interests of everyone in the country opposed to right wing fascism to actually come about. It was Schumer who said early on "we could win without Michigan," while El Sayed has consolidated a powerful bloc of voters and is likely to win despite this vitriolic betrayal. Being opposed to aggressive and stupid war is not anti-semitic, and all the racist and false attacks on him are just that... false and racist.
To the extent, which is an open question, the betrayal was about El Sayed's position on Israel, we should not that his position is in line with a significant majority of Democrats, opposed to the right wing government of Netanyahu and its genocidal war in Gaza and undue influence on Trump on Iran.
