Diverting myself by contemplating matters of little consequence. The state of the world becomes oppressive after a time.
According to Wikipedia, there was "controversy" about the sexual orientation of American painter John Koch, whose "hyperrealist" style I think must have strongly influenced subsequent gay pornographic art. But....Seriously? How could anyone look at this painting and not see it as gay erotica, however dressed up as high culture? (1969) (It's rare for me to comment on art, but this emerged).
