Dear Farflung Correspondents,
I think it's fairly likely at this point that we are going to hit a serious Constitutional crisis, if not before the new Congress in 2027 then soon after it takes office. Because it looks like Trump intends to take us into full scale war in Iran.... without the consent of Congress. In the face of a resolution or legislation for him to sign expressly withdrawing Congressional approval of prosecuting a war against Iran, if he proceeds, how can he not be impeached? We may find out. Or, of course, the Republicans, and even some Democrats, may betray their country and chicken out. Which I suppose I have to admit seems even more likely.
