One thing that occurs to me that I didn't think about much before the election. Sure, Trump, since he's Trump, is blaming other Republicans and Fox News for "failing him," but, unlike his loss in 2020, he doesn't take this personally. He can, in his narcissistic delusion, convince himself that it's not his fault, it's not him that lost, etc. etc. So I don't think there will be an attempt to rerun Jan. 6. The transfer of legislative power will take place relatively smoothly (with focus on the recounts and inevitable legal fight over the Mississippi and Alaska races). But it's just too overwhelming to pretend it was the result of cheating.
Democrats will have a difficult time dealing with things like the war powers, and refusing to fund Trump's attempts to usurp Congressional powers in general. But they can honestly feel that the people at large are behind them, and America is totally fed up with Trump and Trumpism.
And that, my friends, is something to genuinely celebrate.
