DOGE blocked.

I object to headlines in, for example, The Guardian, that refer to a judge "temporarily blocking" DOGE from illegally accessing private information in government records. Granting an injunction is not temporary, in the ordinary sense of the word, despite the legal terminology. One of the criteria, as anyone with a smattering of legal knowledge can tell you, for a "temporary" injunction is the assessment of a high probability of prevailing on the ultimate question before the court. So, the fact that an injunction is granted means the judge is "pretty darn sure" the petitioners' claims are meritorious and will ultimately prevail. 

So the real question is whether these rogue oligarchs will obey the dictates of the court. The fact that the actions are illegal and violate the Constitution is well-nigh self-evident. This is a coup. Can the courts stop it? We are about to find out.
