Last doubts removed

If there was the slightest doubt that Trump is a traitor to everything the United States is supposed to stand for, and is acting, whether out of stupidity or avarice, directly contrary to the interests of our country, his complete capitulation to Putin removes any such doubt. This comes just as the Russians are running out of any wherewithal to continue, on their own, their war of aggression against Ukraine. I'm certain that these developments will be considered tragic and irreversible in the future, but a long dark time will have to elapse before we even get that chance to reflect on the outcome.

I reiterate what I've said before. I cannot trust or pretend to be amiable any longer towards anyone who continues to support this regime. I fear that the election of 2024 has sealed the fate of the United States, and very much not in a good way. We may, somehow, overcome defeat at the hands of our own leaders, and persist as a republic, in the future. But there are no guarantees.
